Given Rod’s recent success wearing his new-style open-toed shoe, I foresee a rush of lesser players to follow in his footstep in the hope of improving their play.
Before I think of buying, could you please tell me if such shoes are legal. And is there a Health and Safety issue – would the club’s insurance pay out in the case of an injury caused by kicking a wood with an unprotected toe?
Finally, do you have to buy a pair – or can you choose just a left or-right footed shoe?
